Give Your Air Conditioning System a Spring Clean
At Spheretech, we know that some businesses choose not to operate their air conditioning systems in heating mode during Winter.
Which is why Spring is always a good time to consider whether your air conditioning, ventilation and climate control systems are ready for the traditional Summer ‘cooling period’.
If you want your air conditioning to function effectively when you need it most, then your air conditioning systems need a Spring clean before you come to rely on it during the Summer months.
Common problems that could affect you air conditioning system
Dirty system filters
Your air conditioning systems collect dirt and particles which can clog your system and if not cleaned, your filter can become filled with debris, reducing the effectiveness of the equipment.
Smell from ducts
You might have noticed that if your air conditioning remains unused for a lengthy period, it can smell unpleasant when switched back on. Usually this indicates that your filter or ducts need checking and probably cleaning.
Furthermore, if you consider the weather this Winter, you can start to appreciate what the outdoor condensing units will have experienced the last few months.
Air conditioning system checks between seasons
It is prudent to arrange for your air conditioning system to be checked out in the Spring, ideally between the heating and cooling seasons, to ensure that your units are fully operational and ready for when they are used more frequently and more heavily during Summer months.
Servicing options for air conditioning systems
A service visit from Spheretech includes a full clean of your indoor and outdoor units, assessment of your electrical connections, checks for degradation, leaks and that vital pumps and pipes are functioning at the optimum levels. We also check your refrigerant gases, which under F-Gas regulations should be checked annually.
Have your air conditioning system ready for summer
A benefit of arranging for a Spring clean for your air conditioning equipment is that it will be easier to schedule an appointment with a qualified technician during the Spring before the heat arrives and demand increases.
We know that some businesses leave this until Summer, when we often hear comments such as “can you fix it tomorrow?”, “it’s so hot in here.” or, “will we have to wait, because we left it too late?”
Of course we make every effort to fulfil all our client’s requirements but, our advice is don’t be caught out and leave it too late. If we do experience a hot Summer, you want your equipment fully operational the moment the temperature gauge hits hot!
