Refrigerant gases
In air conditioning systems, refrigerant gases play a crucial role in the cooling and heating process. They are used to absorb heat from the air and release it outside, creating a cooler or warmer environment. Research and development by the Hvac industry and manufacturers, lead to the creation of new and improved refrigerant gases with a lower environmental impacts on a regular basis.
Phasing out older refrigerants
The UK’s F-Gas Regulations focus on reducing the overall amount of older Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants used. This means there will be a gradual phasing out in the use of refrigerants like R22, 407C, 410A, in favour of new lower GWP alternatives.
Unsure what gas your system uses? Contact Spheretech for expert advice and appropriate system alternatives.
