Case study | Nasmyth Arden
Leading the way with cleaner air
Pre-dating the Covid-19 outbreak, leading HVAC manufacturers has been focussing on developing technologies to enhance air quality and cleanliness for commercial and residential environments.
New technology developed predominantly for the Asian market combines all the benefits associated with a modern air conditioning system, with new air purification features, enabling the end user to benefit from outstanding climate control allied with cleaner, safer air.
One such technology is Panasonic’s nanoe™ X which improves indoor air quality by filtering unpleasant odours and suppressing airborne particles including bacteria, viruses and mould.
Panasonic have now introduced the same technology into the European market and Spheretech Air Conditioning were fortunate to recently specify and install the first nanoe™ X cassette system in the UK.
Nasymth Arden, part of the Nasmyth Group are a global precision engineering company spanning the aerospace, defence, marine, nuclear, energy medical and automotive market sectors.
Nasmyth Arden asked Spheretech to inspect an old, faulty air conditioning unit serving their paint shop at their Solihull site.
A replacement of the existing system was required along with a solution that would have no impact to our Client’s scheduled workload through their paint shop.
Considering the nature of the environment, Spheretech recommended the new to market Panasonic nanoe™ X system as the air deodorising features would assist with the air quality, odours and the temperature in the paint shop.
Marc Knibbs, Spheretech Commercial Director adds,
“The cassette system installed for Nasmyth Arden was the first cassette of its kind in the UK and demonstrates the progression manufacturers are making with HVAC technology. This enables our Client to benefit from reliable, energy efficient cooling and cleaner air, where they need it most.”
“As a result of Covid-19, it is inevitable that more customers will be paying closer attention to the air quality in their workplaces. Both to limit and control the spread of airborne bacteria and to reassure their colleagues and customers that their workspace is a cleaner and safer space.”
“Which means Spheretech will continue to promote air purification and filtering alongside traditional air conditioning systems to our Clients.”
